DAWsyncX - manual

DAWsyncX is an OSX application I've been working on similar to jamwith.us client. It will let you use the buttons on the JamWith.Us web site and therefore make the downloading and uploading of sessions a little easier for us OSXers.
There are a few little things you must do before running DAWsyncX so Please read the installation instructions.

Starting the jamwith.us client. Put a link for the jamwithus.exe to your desktop.

Connect to jamwith.us via Menu Connection/Jamwith.us or click in the middle.
Login.
Then click >Projects< in the blue menu. You see a list of active jams with a button. If you have access to a session. the button says >jam< else >request collab<.

If you click on jam you get to the Session file overview and session functions. The Session Data are transfered to the client by clicking >get session, send session or get listen only<.

This is a Pre-release of a Visual Basic program. It combines the jamwith.us website with Fred`s CYGwin scripts and a graphic user interface (GUI).
To run it DAWsync schould be already installed and running smooth. Be sure there is a vb-runtime dll. (If DAWsync works -its there).

the zip  and unpack to the Cygwin/front_end folder.

Component Mscomctl.osx or one of it's dependancies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid --->

If you get an runtime 13 error - please download the latest client version

load the Script patch and run it.

 

 

 

MSCOMCTL.OCX

This is an ActiveX component used by most software. This control is present in most Windows Operating Systems, and this error indicates that it either needs to be updated, is corrupted, or missing. After downloading follow these instructions.

1. For Windows 95/98/ME copy the file "MSCOMCTL.OCX" into your \Windows\System folder. For Windows NT/2000/XP copy the file "MSCOMCTL.OCX" into your \Windows\System32 folder.

2. click on START button in the Task bar

3. click on Run...

4. Type in the Textbox: Regsvr32.exe MSCOMCTL.OCX

5. Click OK

The library file or active X component is now installed and registered in your Windows system
